Shane Scott cook
Equally at home in the classical and songwriting worlds, Shane’s work focuses on connection and community, nature, and the queer experience.
Following his time as 2023-25 Teaching Artist-in-Residence with the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music , Shane began doctoral studies in composition at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music in fall 2025.
